The flu shot may prevent the risk of a heart attack, according to some doctors.
Doctors at Public Health Ontario say the vaccine may protect people who are at high risk of having a heart attack.
They say the flu shot has properties that act as if they were blood pressure medication.
Doctors say a combination of inflammation, increased risk of clotting in the blood, stress and having the flu can increase the risk of heart attacks in some people.
