A cavernous glass-making studio is showcasing art in Fort Greene.
Guests are greeted by refined products in a dazzling display on the first floor of UrbanGlass. On its second floor is where the glass is made in two furnaces where temperatures can reach more than 2,000 degrees.
Glassblowers use a long pole to collect the molten material before twisting and molding it into bowls, vases and other pieces.
The studio is not open to the public, except for seasonal open houses and weekly tours on Saturday afternoons.
