A town hall meeting held Tuesday at Medgar Evers College tackled the topic of gun violence.
The college has been planning a variety of events for Black History Month, and the topic of gun violence has retaken a nationwide spotlight following last week's shooting at a Florida high school.
Called "Guns in the Black Community: A 360 Degree Perspective," community members came together to discuss trends in gun violence, gun trafficking, their role in black history and what should be done about continued violence.
Several more events will be held at Medgar Evers throughout the rest of the month, bringing to light different issues.
