Luna Park hosts job fair to prepare for summer tourism

Job candidates flocked to Luna Park Friday in hopes of landing a job for the summer.
The park has 1,000 seasonal jobs available for the summer on the Coney Island boardwalk. The fair took place inside the famous B&B Carousel building and come May some of the people hired will be running the ride.
The operators of the park say they are looking for outgoing and energetic people who will be inviting to the guests. They are also looking to give first-time workers a chance.
That's great news for Kajjanie Lafleur, a 17-year-old high school junior. Lafleur says she's nervous since she never has held a job, but hopes to be lucky to get employment so she can save for college.
Others who applied are hoping to score a repeat job. They say it's a great experience and a great place to work.
Luna Park is hiring for everything from food service positions to ticket sellers.
