What’s Cool at School: P.S. 20 boiler room tour

School children in Clinton Hill got the unique opportunity of touring the working boiler room of P.S. 20.
The utility tour gives children a look at the hidden workings inside the basement of the school.
From heat and water to electrical components, the students are taught about the boiler room's different functions.
But it's not just a walk in the boiler room, staff members at the school teach children the different colors associated with pipes in the basement and their essential function inside the building.
The program was started by the custodial staff at the school to show children parts of the school they normally would never see.
