Brownsville parents remained wary Friday, a day after stray bullets whizzed into a Brownsville day care center while children were packed inside.
As News 12 has reported, no one was hurt, but the Lenox Road day care was closed Friday, with caution tape and a gate covering the entrance.
Step By Step did not immediately respond to a News 12 Brooklyn request for comment, but a note hanging outside informed parents the center would reopen Monday.
Just after 1 p.m. Thursday, shots rang out across the street from the Step By Step Early Childhood Center. One of them shattered the glass front door.
News 12 obtained surveillance video taken nearby that showed two men getting into a confrontation that appeared to end after one brandished a handgun and the other backed off. It remains unclear whether that incident is related to the shooting that damaged the day care center.
Police say no arrests have been made.
