Man accused of groping, attempting to rob woman in Bushwick

BUSHWICK -

A man is accused of groping a woman before attempting to steal her purse in Brooklyn, police say.

The incident happened on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 9:40 a.m. outside 1746 Broadway Ave.

The 30-year-old woman was walking when she told police she was grabbed in her rear by a man who also attempted to snatch her purse.

The woman swung her fist at the suspect, police say, before he ran from the scene toward Chauncey Street.

The woman was not injured.
