It has now been revealed what started the fire that caused Friday's chaotic commute on the LIRR.
The FDNY now saying a lithium battery that was improperly disposed of sparked the flames.
It's being ruled an accident.
The fire broke out at a recycling facility in Queens Friday afternoon.
Service was suspended on four LIRR branches for several hours.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries.
