Bay Shore neighbors clear 19 inches of snow from homes
The spring storm dumped more than a foot of snow on some parts of Long Island.
News 12’s Danielle Campbell was in Bay Shore where the Reyes family pitched in to dig out from the storm. Bay Shore was pounded with 19 inches of snow during the fourth nor’easter of the month.
David Reyes, 12, said that power went out at their home and school was canceled after originally being scheduled for a two-hour delay.
Another Bay Shore resident, Vincent Gamboni, was shoveling out Thursday for a separate cause – he lost his keys in the snow. After an afternoon of clearing the heavy snow, he eventually found them.
