3 suspects sought in distracted Bensonhurst burglary

Police are searching for three suspects who burglarized the home of a 79-year-old woman in Bensonhurst.
The incident occurred on Jan. 12 just after 4 p.m.
Authorities say the three suspects pressed several doorbells of residents at a building near 19th Avenue and 82nd Street until someone eventually buzzed them in.
Police say one of the suspects was posing as a utility worker and gained access to the woman’s apartment. After distracting the woman with paperwork, they were able to take $82 from her apartment.
The suspects are believed to be between the ages of 16 and 25 years old.
