BENSONHURST -

Police are searching for the man who assaulted two women within a span of five minutes in Bensonhurst Friday.

The suspect is shown on surveillance footage grabbing a 17-year-old woman and throwing her to the ground just before 7 a.m. on 18th Avenue near Tribuzio Meat Market.

Police say that just five minutes later, the attacker approached a 31-year-old woman who was waiting for the bus. They say he pulled down his pants, exposed himself and punched her in the face when she tried to walk away.

News 12 Brooklyn is told the suspect appears to be between 30 and 40 years old and about 5 foot 9 inches tall. Police say he was last seen wearing a black, hooded waist-length jacket, black jeans, black sneakers and a black skull cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
