Christians celebrate Easter across NYC

Christians across New York City celebrated the Easter holiday to mark the resurrection of Jesus.
It was a full house at Saint Michael’s Church in Sunset Park Sunday morning.
The sermon focused on the resurrection of Jesus and how people should have hope in knowing that there can be joy after death and pain.
Some say the joy of Easter should be celebrated year round because it represents hope.
Rev. Kevin Sweeney also had a special message for the Spanish audience in attendance.
"There have not been easy times lately [for immigrants],” he said. “There is so much hate in the world, and Jesus wouldn't want that.”
