BOROUGH PARK -

The family of a 14-year-old girl says she woke up early this morning to an intruder in her bed at a Borough Park home.

Police say they were called to the home for reports of a burglary around 3:20 a.m.

The family told police that the man had his pants pulled down and was covering the girl’s face. They also said that her 10-year-old sister was sleeping in another bed in the room.

The family told police that the man ran out an unlocked window when they both started to scream.

Police confirmed Wednesday that a person of interest is being questioned in the case.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
