Animal hospital seeking owner of injured dog

CONEY ISLAND -

A dog is recovering and looking for a home after possibly being hit by a car.

Bandy was brought to Verg-South, a specialty and emergency hospital for Brooklyn pets, by a good Samaritan who found him wandering on the Coney Island Boardwalk bleeding from his chest and shoulder.

The hospital says Bandy is from 8 to 10 years old and is an American Staffordshire terrier mix who has a chip, but it is now outdated.

Hospital officials say they only have the information of his first owner, but he has since been brought back to a shelter and was most likely re-adopted.

Anyone with information on the dog's possible owners is asked to contact Verg-South.
