A funeral was held Thursday at Brown Memorial Baptist Church for Brandy Odom, whose dismembered body was found in Canarsie Park on April 9.

Friends and family members who attended the service say they remember Odom as a kind and caring person.

"Brandy was a beautiful, educated girl; made me very proud of her," the victim's mother Nicole Odom says.

There have been no arrests during the investigation so far. Authorities are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS, and for Spanish at 1-88-57-PISTA.
