Police: Man fatally shot in Boerum Hill

BOERUM HILL -

A man was fatally shot Friday night at Third Avenue and State Street, police say.

Police say they responded to reports of an assault around 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the 39-year-old victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.

The man was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators say the man was killed in what may have been the result of an ongoing dispute.

Police are not yet releasing the victim’s identity.

There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
