Clinton Hill Double Dutch team to compete in state competition

Posted: Updated:
CLINTON HILL -

A Double Dutch team from Clinton Hill will be competing in the upcoming New York State Double Dutch Tournament on May 19.

The CP Dutch Squad is part of Community Partnership Charter School and is made up of 20 third- and fourth-graders.

The sport was added to the after-school curriculum after popular demand from the students.

It took time to get the children at a level where they could compete.

If the team wins the tournament, they will advance to the national event in South Carolina. They are currently fundraising for it.
