A North Brooklyn restaurateur partners with a nonprofit to deliver free healthy meals to 1,000 people a week, mostly in Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
The ‘Angelmobile’ has helped to bring food to those in need across North Brooklyn. The vehicle goes to different sites five days a week for an hour each day.
The mobile soup kitchen is the first project of the nonprofit North Brooklyn Angels. Lilia Restaurant owner Josh Cohen got involved by helping to cook meals for the soup kitchen.
All involved say the mobile soup kitchen allows volunteers to get to wherever they need to be to help those who need it most.
The group also helps bring social services to the people they serve.
