Police search for woman accused of robbery in Brighton Beach

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman accused of a robbery in Brighton Beach.

Police tell News 12 it happened on May 4, when a 58-year-old woman was followed to her apartment building located near Brighton Beach Avenue and Brighton Sixth Street.

News 12 is told the suspect grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground and kicked her in the face several times before running off with the victim's cell phone and wallet.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
