Police make arrest in deadly Bed-Stuy shooting

Police made an arrest Monday night in connection with a Bedford-Stuyvesant shooting that left a father dead.
On May 4, police say 43-year-old Herman Dunston shot 29-year-old Johnny Mathis in the head while Mathis was enjoying a cookout with friends at Eleanor Roosevelt Playground. Police say the two men got into an argument before the shooting.
Mathis left behind a 5-year-old son.
Community members say they're glad Mathis' suspected killer is off the streets.
Dunston is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
