Medical residents participate in simulation at Jacobi Medical Center

Medical residents put their years of training to the test during a simulation demonstration.
New York City Health + Hospital/Jacobi hosted the simulation that dealt with a mass causality incident.
Four teams of medical residents competed against each other. They had to rely on their knowledge to get the job done.
The students were judged on how they responded to the challenge and worked as a team.
Representatives said that they need to know how to work in unexpected situations.
"Just managing all those sick patients even though they're simulated patients is pretty nerve-racking," said Angelo Mascia, a medical resident.
