Survivors of Williamsburg shooting expected to be charged

The two survivors of a triple shooting that left a man dead in Williamsburg are expected to be charged once they leave the hospital.

The shots were fired around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday on Hewes Street. Police say a car pulled up on the block and began shooting, causing another group to fire back gunshots. Two guns were recovered from the scene.

Police say the shooting was possibly gang-related.

A 19-year-old man was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull and died. A 21-year-old man walked into the 90th Precinct with a gunshot wound to the stomach and was taken NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. Another 19-year-old man was shot once in the lower back and drove himself to Woodhull. Both survivors are listed in stable condition and are expected to be charged once released.

Police have not identified any of the people involved.
