Police release photo of suspect in fatal Brownsville shooting

BROWNSVILLE -

Police have released a photo of a man they believe is connected to a homicide in Brownsville back in December.

They say 39-year-old Oliver James may have played a role in the fatal shooting of Darnell Pettway.

News 12 Brooklyn first reported about the incident in December, when Pettway, 30, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest inside a building located at 80 E. 93rd St.

Pettway later died from his injuries at Kings County Hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
