BAY RIDGE -

Parts of Bay Ridge were closed to traffic Sunday as thousands gathered for the Fifth Avenue Festival, which spanned more than 15 city blocks.

The event also featured wine tasting, belly dancers, and a karaoke contest dubbed Brooklyn Idol.

The festival is now in its 24th year.
