The pizza deliveryman who was detained by immigration officials last week at the Fort Hamilton base has been granted an emergency stay.
IT will allow him to avoid deportation to Ecuador for the time being.
Officials say Pablo Villavicencio will remain in ICE custody, but the stay will allow him to continue the process of becoming a U.S. citizen while remaining in the same country with his wife and two children.
