Police: Gas station attendant stabbed in chest during Patchogue armed robbery

Police say a man was stabbed in the chest during an early morning armed robbery in Patchogue.
According to police, three men entered Coastal gas station on West Main Street, displayed a knife and demanded cash around 1:10 a.m.
Police say one of the men stabbed the male cashier in the chest.
The three men then fled the scene on foot with an undermined amount of cash.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
