Marchers follow route of slain teen from bodega to hospital

Thousands of people demonstrated Tuesday night in a march for 15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, who police say was the innocent victim killed in a gang-linked stabbing last week.
They followed the route police say the teen ran from the scene of the attack to St. Barnabas Hospital one block away. He died there from his injuries.
He was a member of the NYPD's Police Explorers program, and people who knew him called him Junior.

During their march, people demanded justice for the slain teen. As News 12 has reported, police have arrested eight men in connection with the slaying.
Afterward, the crowd returned to the bodega where surveillance video shows a group of men brutally dragging, stabbing and slashing the teen.
Community activists led a rally there calling for local businesses to act as safe havens and shelter people who are fleeing violence.
Tony Herbert made a point of criticizing Mayor Bill de Blasio, who he said had not yet called Junior's family.
