Officials: Woman dies in Brooklyn house fire
A woman was killed Monday after a fire ripped through a home in Brooklyn, police say.
Esther Gee, 67, died after officials pulled her from a 2-alarm fire inside of her 1666 E. 49th St. home  around 1:30 a.m.
The fire marshal's office says the fire did not appear to be suspicious.
Gee was taken to Beth Israel Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Two other people inside the home were able to escape, including numerous pets.
A pet dog was also treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
