Summer Youth Employment Program signs up record amount of workers

A record 75,000 teens and young adults are working this summer through the city’s Summer Youth Employment Program.
SYEP Deputy Director Cynthis Malave said the program is an “opportunity for them to explore and discover and make that connection between what they want for the future.”
Jobs offered to those ages 14-24 included work in camps, financial institutions, retail, media and communications.
Anyone interested in the program can sign up next spring.
