A new video shows the moments before and after Thavone Santana was shot by an off-duty police officer.

In the video, Santana approaches Sgt. Ritchard Blake. The officer then pulls out a gun and moments later, Santana is seen lying on the ground.

The video also shows the officer planting what sources describe as a knife or blade next to Santana's body, then later retrieving it.

All of this painting a different picture from the one Sgt. Blake initially told, when he claimed Santana tried to rob him and threatened to kill him.

Sources say police are now investigating whether this was part of an ongoing dispute between the two, possibly over a woman.

Sgt. Blake has been placed on modified duty pending the investigation and has been stripped of his gun and badge.
