Police seek suspect in attempted robbery of retired NYPD officer

Police are searching for the suspect who attempted to rob a retired NYPD officer in Marine Park this morning.

News 12 is told the suspect walked up to the man and tried to snatch his watch.

That's when police say the retiree pulled out a gun and fired shots at him before he ran off.

Police say no one was shot and that the suspect got away empty-handed.
