A 150-foot mural will be making its way to the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

The new Dock 72 project at the Navy Yard features the work of young artists employed by the Creative Art Works Summer Youth Employment Program.

It took six weeks to create the piece, which celebrates the history and resurgence of the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

All the artists are based in Brooklyn and say with constant development happening around them it was fun to have such a big role in the project.

Dock 72 is a commercial office space for new manufacturing business slated to open in winter 2019.
