An MTA bus driver was attacked for a third time in Brooklyn in less than a week, police say.
The incident happened Monday on Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Fulton Street around 1:30 p.m.
Police say the B15 bus driver was approached by a man who was outside of the bus.
According to a Transport Workers Union 100 spokesperson, the driver of the bus rolled down the window to see if the man who walked up needed help because he appeared to be mumbling to himself.
Police say the suspect reached into his pocket to reveal what appeared to be a can of pepper spray.
The bus driver quickly rolled up the window before the suspect could spray the contents of the can on him but smashed the glass window of the bus.
On Thursday, police say a suspect sprayed 2 bus drivers on the B15 bus with pepper spray in Brownsville.
At least one of the drivers and two passengers were transported to the hospital to be evaluated.
Police are unable to confirm if the man involved in Thursday's two incidents is responsible for the one Monday.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
