BROOKLYN -

Officials gave the all-clear at the Kings Plaza Shopping Mall Wednesday night after a bomb scare prompted an evacuation.

News 12 sources say a bomb threat was called in to one of the stores around 5:30 p.m. The mall was then evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Police officers conducted a sweep of the mall and about an hour later, gave the all-clear for shoppers and employees to return inside.

Several people told News 12 that everyone outside the mall remained relatively calm during the evacuation. They also praised mall staff and first responders for keeping everything under control.
