9/11 remembrance service held at Borough Hall

It’s been 17 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks, but for many it feels like just yesterday.
Borough President Eric Adams was joined by families of 9/11 victims and first responders Friday as he placed a wreath outside Borough Hall.
They also honored many of the first responders who lost their lives that day and in the years since from 9/11 related illnesses.
The borough president says he continues to hold this event to ensure that horrific day is never forgotten.
"Longer we move away from a tragic event we have a tendency to forget and if we forget we give room to repeat," says Adams.
He also hung a banner outside Borough Hall honoring the first responders who have passed away.
