Officials: Man being treated in ambulance attacked EMT worker

Police are searching for a man they say attacked an on-duty EMT worker.

They say the incident happened on Aug. 7 at the corner of East 15th Street and Kings Highway.

The suspect was being treated inside of an ambulance when he allegedly punched a 55-year-old EMT worker in the chest. The unidentified man then jumped out of the ambulance and ran away.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
