Williamsburg event puts modern twist on Rosh Hashana

A Williamsburg event is bringing a modern twist to the Rosh Hashana holiday.
Presented by the organization Because Jewish, the new year celebration at the Brooklyn Bowl provided a forward-thinking approach to traditional music.
Musician Jeremiah Lockwood updated old-world chants with a blues twang.
Many young couples said it was a way for them to stay in touch with their roots, while keeping up with their modern lifestyle.
Lockwood and his crew will be performing at various locations around Brooklyn for Yom Kippur.
