North Carolina student remains in Brookfield as Florence recovery continues

A woman who evacuated to Brookfield in order to avoid Hurricane Florence still is not sure when she will return to North Carolina.
Elizabeth Huse is a graduate student at the University of North Carolina Wilmington who had flown home to Connecticut to escape.
Huse packed light and expected to be back at school shortly after the storm hit, but there is still no word when the campus will re-open.
She says she has spent a lot of time watching Florence news coverage and following along on social media to see the situation there.
Huse says there is minimal damage where she lives, but that it has been crazy to see the flooding in areas she knows well.
"I's definitely stressful. I mean, it's been a two-week break from school," says Huse. "I'm going to the library after this to try and refresh my memory of everything just because I'm hoping we start classes back up next week."
Huse says school administrators have told students they will get 72 hours notice about when classes will start up again.
