The Mark for Education Foundation held its 10th annual event at McLevy Green.
Students, parents, and teachers participated.
Organizers said their focus is on kids who need encouragement as they attend school.
Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim said, “With an education, you can do anything. I mean, that’s what my parents told me. They said, ‘look, I don’t care what you do with your life, just get an education and it’s up to you.’ So part of what today is, is allowing young people to understand the importance of education, highlighting their skills, things like their talents, and recognize how important an education is.”
Organizers say education for all children was the goal of supporters who took part in similar events across the region.
