NYPD precincts collect donations for Hurricane Florence relief

Patrol Borough Brooklyn North began collecting donations Wednesday to send to victims of Hurricane Florence in the Carolinas.
Florence ripped through the Carolina coastline earlier in September, killing 41 across both North and South Carolina.
It is accepting donations of cases of water, baby formula, first aid supplies, batteries and canned food items.
The precinct collected 1,400 cases of water for Hurricane Maria victims last year.
Officers at Patrol Borough Brooklyn North say it's important for them to help others during times of tragedy.
The NYPD says it is collecting donations at any 10 of its Patrol Borough Brooklyn North precincts until Monday.
