MTA subway conductor assaulted in the Bronx

An MTA subway conductor was assaulted in the Bronx, police say.
The incident happened Saturday, Sept. 22, inside of the Freeman Street subway station around 9 p.m.
The 33-year-old on-duty MTA conductor was punched in the face by a man while sitting inside of the train's cab.
The suspect was unprovoked when attacking the worker, police say.
He grabbed the conductor's shirt collar before striking him, and also threatened to spit on him before walking away.
Police have released surveillance video and images of the suspect.
