Coney Island businesses and residents came together Wednesday to rally for their community to be included in the city's ferry service.
Community leaders held a press conference to make city officials aware that they are frustrated that their community has not been studied for possible ferry access.
The call comes after Mayor Bill de Blasio said last year that Coney Island would be studied for possible access.
The community says they currently have the longest average commute to Manhattan out of any other outer borough that is not currently served by the ferry.
