People search for third suspect in Marine Park home invasion

Police are still searching for a third suspect in a Marine Park home invasion that happened Monday morning.
Two people were charged for the crime Tuesday.
The NYPD released surveillance video Tuesday of the suspect, who they describe as about six feet tall and last seen wearing dark clothing and a do-rag.
Twenty-year-old Lance Jyrkinen and 25-year-old Shirnel Sobers were charged with attempted murder, assault, burglary, grand larceny, and criminal possession of a weapon Tuesday in relation to the home invasion.
Police say they were behind the wheel of a car stolen from the elderly couple were attacked inside their home Monday morning.
Police say that two men and a woman broke into a home in the vicinity of Madison Place and Avenue R at about 5:30 a.m. and slashed a 72-year old man in the face and sexually assaulted his 71-year old wife.
The 72-year old man is a retired NYPD office.
Police say the suspects stole the couple’s car and a gun from the home.
A license plate reader near the Hugh L. Carey tunnel notified authorities.
