A World War II veteran from New Jersey has posthumously donated $2 million to his alma mater, Bayonne High School.
William Gawor graduated from the school in 1937 and went on to fight in World War II.
Gawor died in 2016, and his estate donated the money to the school to be used for scholarships.
The scholarships will benefit students heading into science, technology, engineering and math majors in college.
Gawor went on to be an engineer after the war. He died at age 97.
