Groups offer free mammograms for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Local organizations are spreading the word about the signs, symptoms and risks of breast cancer all month long in Windsor Terrace.
The Brooklyn TEAL Community Center is giving women ages 40 to 79 free mammograms regardless of whether or not they have insurance. TEAL stands for Tell Every Amazing Lady.
Myriad Genetics is also giving free genetic assessments.
Other breast cancer awareness events and free mammogram screenings are taking place throughout October, which marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
These organizations also have support groups and other workshops to help those living with cancer.
