Fuhgeddaboudit Food: Shalom Japan

A Jewish and Japanese husband and wife have brought together the tastes of both of their cultures.
Shalom Japan in Williamsburg offers up authentically inauthentic Jewish and Japanese
food, owners Aaron Israel and Sawako Okochi say.
Both Israel and Okochi say they wanted to share their unique culinary perspectives by opening the collaboration restaurant which highlights their individual cultures, diverse cooking backgrounds, and passions for food.
Some of the dishes include, teriyaki duck wings, matzoh ball ramen soup, and a lox bowl.
