Off-duty police officer grazed by bullet in Mott Haven

An off-duty officer was shot in Mott Haven early Tuesday morning, according to police.
The officer was grazed by a bullet while in a car with another off-duty officer just after midnight.
The 33-year-old officer was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was treated and released. The officer is expected to be OK.
Police tell News 12 the officer was not the intended target and that it seems to have been a stray bullet.
Surveillance footage release by police shows two men firing back and forth at each other on the sidewalk. That is when officials say a stray bullet grazed the left shoulder of the officer.
Detectives are actively investigating the scene at East 138th Street and Brook Avenue.
The road was blocked off earlier this morning as officers investigated. It has since reopened.
No arrests have been made.
