Police say they are searching for a man who was caught on a surveillance camera stealing packages from a home in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

Jennifer Chen, whose home security camera caught the man in the act, says the same person was stealing packages last Christmas.

A spokesperson with the United States Postal Service says people would have to communicate with the post office if they do not want packages left on their doorstep.

The USPS is urging anyone who is a victim of theft to take action and file an online complaint with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and with police.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the thief to call police.
