Fathers and daughters came together Sunday to learn all about hair at the Daddies Do Hair event in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

Organizers say the event gave fathers an opportunity to bond with their daughters by learning better ways to take care of their hair.

They say the father’s learned how to comb, moisturize, and style their child’s hair.

The organizers say the goal was to break the stigma that hair just a mother’s job. They say the event encourages fathers to build confidence and connect with their daughters.

Fathers also participated in a panel discussion where they were able to talk about the struggles of fatherhood.

The event ended with the girls putting crowns on their father's heads.

This is the organizer’s second year hosting the event. They say that they are planning to move the event to a bigger space next year.
