State House seat votes questioned in Stratford 120th District recount

Election workers in Stratford are recounting votes for the 120th District state House seat Tuesday.
An army of workers is sorting out which pallets are legible enough to go through a machine for a recount, and which ones they will have to count by hand.
The race between Democrat Phil Young and Republican Jim Feehan was especially close, with just 18 votes separating them.
Young was declared the winner, but Feehan says that's only because a serious irregularity developed at the Bunnell High School polling location.
No matter who comes out on top, this contest will likely end up in court because about 80 people accidentally voted in this race because they were given the wrong ballot.
Bunnell serves as a voting location for both the 120th Assembly District and the 122nd Assembly District.
Feehan says he was informed around midday on Election Day about a packet of ballots for the 122nd District that was mistakenly used in the 120th District voting line.
News 12 is told the recount process will probably go on until Wednesday afternoon, with a 5 p.m. deadline to finish.
